Interview with Mthokozisi Nkosi

What's the story behind your latest book?
"Step Out of Your Comfort Zone and Start Living Your Dream” is an inspirational personal development/self-help book. It is aimed at the 50-80% of people who don’t enjoy their jobs, and who are desperate to change their life but unsure how to. The book outlines the results of staying in what`s comfortable than risking being uncomfortable. It tackles the main reasons people stay stuck in comfort zones: fear of failure, the environment, fear of taking risk, job security, lack of vision, relationships and fear of what others will say or do. I also share my own personal story as well as 10 lessons to help people on their new journey. Most people are trapped by financial problems, relationships, debts, and just being in the wrong job. The book is then packed with ways to step out of that comfort zone, change your career, change departments or discover what you would really love to do with your life and go after it with everything you have. It is interspersed with anecdotes and inspirational quotes. I was disowned by my father some years back, and I learned a lot then, as it helped me step out of my comfort zone. I share that story in the first chapter of the book.
What motivated you to become an indie author?
I knew if I looked for a publisher it would take me a long time to publish my book. I started buying and reading eBooks on self-publishing and learned that it was not that difficult all I had to do was invest time and money to it. All i needed was an editor, and a company to help me design and layout my book. I also studied internet marketing and that is when I started getting exposed to what one can do online. I found out that publishing online is easy and cost effective. Besides that I`m an avid reader and I knew it was possible for me too.
