My top favorite books are: 1. The Book Thief (Who doesn't love that book! If you haven't read it I highly recommend that you do.) 2.Dear Dumb Diary Series (I enjoy a good laugh every once in a while.) 3.Harry Potter Series (I enjoyed the movies very much but the books give you more detail, makes you feel as if your in the book.) 4.Diary Of A Wimpy Kid Series (Also for a good laugh.) 5.Marked (Watch out for the crescent one!)
What is your e-reading device of choice?
My phone. I always have it on me and when i read my phone dies a lot slower so its a win-win.
Where did you grow up, and how did this influence your writing?
I am stilling growing up in Detroit considering I am under 18 but that is besides the point. What influenced my writing was what I saw, heard, felt, etc. I was and still is bullied so I use my pain to put deep emotion in my characters. I have also heard and seen about not-so pretty things, so I use real life events to put a sense of "Yes this is the life we live in." but also "Anything is possible." type of feels. I would read books and they'd be so deeply detailed every little aspect described you have a clear image of what your reading. and while reading books like that I say to myself "I wanna be an author just like that." And this is basically what started my love for reading and writing. Reading helps me escape, Writing helps me express.
When did you first start writing?
I have been writing stories since kindergarten. But my love grew in 5th grade.
