Interview with Natalie Belin

What's the story behind your latest book?
The poems are based off of events that happened in my life. I threw in some humor for fun.
What motivated you to become an indie author?
I like to take risks. I woke up one day and said to myself "I am going to write poetry today." My first poem was Life. Ever since Life was written everything else just fell into place.
What is your writing process?
It is organic. I work off of my thoughts.
When did you first start writing?
I always loved creative writing. I remember enjoying the creative writing projects teachers would give to me in school. I struggled academically. When a creative writing project was assigned to us I would get excited because I love using my imagination. Creativity is something that comes natural to me.
What is the greatest joy of writing for you?
Using my imagination!
What do your fans mean to you?
My fans give me ambition to keep going. Thank you for giving me the drive to keep going!
What inspires you to get out of bed each day?
Having goals. I want to succeed. I want people to enjoy my poems.
Who are your favorite authors?
Silverstein, is my favorite poet.
When you're not writing, how do you spend your time?
I love to adventure! I love learning about different cultures!
Describe your desk
My desk is simple. I do not like clutter, and I am not a gluttonous person. I buy what I need. I also do not like dirt. Organization is important or else I have a difficult time functioning.

From beginning to end this book is a part of me. Technically there was no plan when writing this book. It just happened. Sometimes it doesn’t hurt to take a risk here and there. In my eyes I see a world colored in dark
