Interview with Pamela Ann

What is the greatest joy of writing for you?
Plotting's been one of the greatest adventure for me. It's exhilarating to immerse into a world my mind crafted. Once I'm in the zone, sleeping becomes scarce.
What is your writing process?
Dark room and music. It's the only way I can fully envision the story in my mind. They become real to me in such a poetic way.
What is your writing Kryptonite?
Stress. I always find it difficult to balance both.
What is your e-reading device of choice?
Kindle.
What is the first book that made you cry?
It's one of those high school pocket book romance stuff. I can't particularly recall the name but I'm pretty sure it's one of those.
Describe your desk
It has a lot of pastel colors. From picture frames to my gaming mouse pad. Coffee and energy drink has to be situated to my far right. Flowers. Hand moisturizer. And since it's summer, there's a cute miniature fan next to my laptop.
Where did you grow up, and how did this influence your writing?
My childhood wasn't the story book kind. I learned at an early age to dream myself away from the unhealthy environment I was living at that time. There wasn't much love to go around. No hugs. And definitely no adult to give the right encouragement. This drove to seek shelter through reading. It was my way of escape. And I suppose, in some ways, it made me mentally stronger.
When did you first start writing?
Almost six years ago. At first it started as an idea. Then it became a hobby.
If this is part of series, how did you come up with the idea for the series?
The Chasing Series is my very first series, so it's close to my heart. The story, the characters, everything about it--it was inspired when I studied abroad and met some of the greatest people on the planet.
What motivated you to become an indie author?
Passion. It's all about passion. There's nothing else to it.
What do you read for pleasure?
Anything pertaining history.
