What's the story behind your latest book?
Being a youth minister for several years now. I have found that most young adults have a idea about the basics of Christianity, but they are unable to relate to those "basics". I decided that it was time to teach a christian foundations class with a punch. I made each lesson relative to the everyday issues that bother or young adults.
What is the greatest joy of writing for you?
the greatest joy for me is being able to share what God has done in my life. I truly hope that someone out there will be able to glean from from what I write.
What do your fans mean to you?
I am not in this to gain fame. I know it sounds like a load of bull crap, but I truly do not want any fans. I love my "neighbors" , and appreciate all of the support that they give. In advance: Thank You!
What are you working on next?
I am working on a graphic novel titled "Armageddon: Building The Kingdom. I is about end time prophecy, and it's been very exciting to write this book.
Who are your favorite authors?
My favorite authors are Joyce Meyers, Charles Newbold J.R.,and then for the non-religious authors; James Patterson, and Nora Roberts.
What inspires you to get out of bed each day?
Being able to share the "good news" that Jesus Christ is Lord and how much he loves all of his creation's
When you're not writing, how do you spend your time?
I am a wife, mother of four children. Three of them are grown and my youngest is thirteen years old. I also serve as the youth pastor at Heart of Jesus Ministries. I love to read and study, and spend time with my family.
How do you approach cover design?
I will either approach my mother Apostle Alliene Johnson or have my middle son Anthony S. Hawkins design one for me.
What is your e-reading device of choice?
I love my nook. tome there is none better. Just saying.
When did you first start writing?
I first started writing in 2002. I began by writing devotional journals. then from there, I was writing out my lessons for junior church, for example; ditto sheets with Q & A's for the older children,and picture pamphlet's for the younger children .
