Interview with Patty Marie

What do you read for pleasure?
Mostly Sci-Fi/fantasy and some mystery, with some romance and adventure thrown in. Well, then there's erotica.
What is your e-reading device of choice?
I have a Nook, but for viewing eBooks on my computer, I use Calibre.
What book marketing techniques have been most effective for you?
Mostly word of mouth and writing a good enough first story in the series to get people hooked on buying the next one.
What's the story behind your latest book?
A woman discovers her friend's husband is a cuckolded and in trying to digest all that that mean, she and her husband start down the slippery slope that leads them to that lifestyle.
What motivated you to become an indie author?
It's free and I write the stuff anyway so why not give it a shot.
What is the greatest joy of writing for you?
Finding out that other people enjoy my stories.
What are you working on next?
The sequel to "I Can't Believe I Did It."
What's your home life like.
Very fulfilling. I'm married over 40 years to have two girls and two grandchildren. Spending time with my family is what makes life worthwhile.
What's your motivation for writing cuckold stories.
While not all of the story ideas roaming around my had involve cuckolding, many do. I find it an interesting phenomenon and strive to understand it through my writing.
What do your fans mean to you?
Without fans, there'd be no sales or even reads of free books. While I write for my own enjoyment, having fans who want to read the next book is the motivation to keep writing on a real schedule rather than let a story idea lay until it becomes old and stale.
Where do you get your story ideas?
Often times a single thought will jump into my head. Sometimes I'll see something that sparks and idea. I have one idea for a story that came from a friend who drives truck and tells about the view he gets for the cab of his truck. As he was relating the reaction of woman who notice him checking her out gave me the germ of the story... it's yet to be fleshed out.
