Interview with Paula Bell

What motivated you to become an indie author?
I was living and working in Maldives for 4 years. Island life an be quite lonely at times, so I thought I would make the most of my spare time and write a book!
Where did you grow up, and how did this influence your writing?
I grew up in Gosport UK. I learnt so much from my mother, her humbleness, and positive caring nature. She was my inspiration to write a book
What's the story behind your latest book?
As a single mum I faced many struggles, but we always had a happy home. I am very blessed with a wonderful family and supportive friends. I learnt so much from the challenges I faced and it made me who I am today. So I wanted to share my experiences with others and inspire my readers
What do your fans mean to you?
I hope my fans are inspired and my book helps them think positively about life
Who are your favorite authors?
Lewis Pugh, his book 'achieving the impossible' is one of my favorites
What inspires you to get out of bed each day?
To make a positive difference to everyone I meet
When you're not writing, how do you spend your time?
Reading business books, spending time with my two daughters and going to gym
What is your writing process?
I break the topic into about 10 chunks and think about the 4 or 5 key messages I want to get across
How do you approach cover design?
I asked for feedback from my family and friends and they choose the final design
Describe your desk
My desk is neat and tidy, facing the ocean
What are you working on next?
A book about changes and challenges, some people are anxious to move out their comfort zones, but given the correct tools it can be both rewarding and life changing
