What is the best thing about being a writer?
The best thing about being a writer is that you are totally in control of everything that is happening in your characters' lives! You can add conflicts, create dilemmas and finally give them their HEA :)
What is your e-reading device of choice?
My kindle and smartphone.
What book marketing techniques have been most effective for you?
Marketing via social media platforms like Facebook and Twitter can be quite useful in promoting your books. Being an active member of some author groups also helps.
How do you deal with writer's block?
I just take a break from writing that may stretch from a few hours to a few days. I utilize that time to do things I love, like gardening, listening to my favorite rock music and cleaning cobwebs around my house. Don't laugh please, I do find cleaning cobwebs strangely therapeutic!
When did you first start writing?
I started writing when I was just six or seven. I loved writing poetry and used to write special poems for my mom and dad on their birthdays!
What are you currently working on?
I am working on a High school romance at present, something that I've been planning to write for quite a while now.
What motivated you to become an indie author?
I had been ghostwriting for quite a while before I decided to take the plunge and become an indie author. I don't know from where I got the courage to self publish but now when I see my name on the covers of my books, it is such a special feeling for me :)
What's your advice for aspiring writers?
Never ever give up. Even if takes years to get your work published, just do your job to the best of your ability, keep your fingers crossed and leave the rest to God. And remember if everything else fails, you can always go the self publishing way!
What inspires you to get out of bed each day?
My two little munchkins do that! :)
How do you discover the ebooks you read?
Through Amazon and Smashwords.
Do you remember the first story you ever wrote?
Yes. It was about a little girl who got lost in a busy marketplace but was later helped by a kind policeman who reunited her with her parents!
