Interview with Pendleton Mane

Where did you grow up, and how did this influence your writing?
I grew up in rural California where it was a two hour walk to the closest fast food joint or "cool hang out spot". It was out there, in the middle of nowhere, that I started crafting ghost stories to tell my friends.
When did you first start writing?
Poetry and a few short stories my freshman year of High School. I didn't become too serious about the craft until my second year of college though.
What motivated you to become an indie author?
I feel like there's so many stories to tell and when I look out into the market I feel like what I want to read isn't being represented.
Who are your favorite authors?
H.P. Lovecraft, Stephen King and Haruki Murakami.
Describe your desk
Probably a mess. I try not to look at it.
What are you working on next?
I'm currently working on a series of short 3-5 story volumes of short horror stories.
What do your fans mean to you?
I have fans?
