Do you remember the first story you ever wrote?
"In Someone Else's Shoes" is the first story I ever wrote, which looks through the eyes of a 35 year old quadriplegic female. This story provides insight into the life of a 35 year old female, as she adjusts to being bound to a wheelchair due to an congenital disease affecting her spinal cord.
How do you approach cover design?
The cover design was created by using the 9 elements of feng shui. Respectively, each topic printed on the front of the book, are the topics discussed within the book.
What is your e-reading device of choice?
My e-reading device is both my iPhone 6s and MacBook Air via iBooks.
Describe your desk
My desk is an "L" shaped glass desk, which allows me the ability to utilize all service space when working on various projects.
Where did you grow up, and how did this influence your writing?
I was born in Olympia, Washington and raised in Tumwater, Washington. Growing up in a middle-class family, options of college never really entered into my mind until much later in life. It wasn't until I started on my academic journey did I realize that I would write a book several years later.
What's the story behind your latest book?
My next book "Who Is You?" is a narrative based on personal reflection as I apply the theoretical principles of authenticity to my life as an educational leader.
