What do your fans mean to you?
My fans remind me that my work is important. I respect my fans and appreciate their honest feedback. When I think about pricing my work I consider my fans first. .
What are you working on next?
I am working on the first novel from the Hearts Unbound Series. It features a man and woman trying to find their way to each other after the man has experienced a heartbreaking tragedy. I will be publishing a novella from the Beacon of Sound Series around Thanksgiving.
Who are your favorite authors?
I have a huge list of authors I stalk, I mean love. This list has no order Mimi Jean Pamfiloff, Karen Marie Moning, Zane, Suzanne Wright,Christina Lauren,Laurann Dohner,Christine Feehan,Tina Folsom,R. L. Mathewson,Kristen Proby,Lora Leigh,Elizabeth Hunter, Christine Warren, Tawney Taylor, Kresley Cole, Dianne Duvall. The list could go on forever. I read a lot. i also spend a lot of time reading indie authors on smashwords.
What inspires you to get out of bed each day?
I wake up each day knowing that I am going to have some insane adventure. I get up because I live to live.
When you're not writing, how do you spend your time?
I spend time watching cartoons or movies with my wolf pack of three boys.
How do you discover the ebooks you read?
I tend to go to an author's website to see what they are working on next. I also look for recommendations from different ebook retailers. When I am hunting for something a little naughty or undiscovered, i come to smashwords.
Do you remember the first story you ever wrote?
The first story I wrote was about a girl who ran away from a gang of soul stealers. I was in the 5th grade.
What is your writing process?
I write everything I am thinking down. I use sticky notes and a writing notebook. Then I type it up and move things around. I send each chapter to one of my book club members for feedback. I also torture my husband by reading to him. He is a great sport.
Do you remember the first story you ever read, and the impact it had on you?
One of the first important stories I read was Dracula. It made me fall in love with the paranormal world.
How do you approach cover design?
I pick out ten pictures then try to match them to my story. Even if my book is about romance, I do not automatically choose a super sexy cover. Then I send it to my cover designer Brandi who works her magic.
What are your favorite book, and why?
Dracula because it inspired me to write about the paranormal world.
What do you read for pleasure?
I read everything for pleasure. My favorite is paranormal romance.
