What are your five favorite books, and why?
The Bible
Little Women
Anne of Green Gables
Atlas Girl
Trail of Broken Wings

I love all of these books because I can relate to the people in the stories. They have gone through trials and tribulations and overcame their obstacles with grace and poise. The Bible drives me to live radically as Jesus did.
What is your writing process?
I pray, ask God what I should write. I make a cup of coffee and then I get out my journal and write on a clean sheet of paper. It is very cathartic.
What do you read for pleasure?
Christian Romance Novels
What is your e-reading device of choice?
Kindle

Where did you grow up, and how did this influence your writing?
I grew up in Hawaii and had many rich experiences on the Big Island. The beaches are beautiful and the islands provided culture. I also had a chaotic childhood.
When did you first start writing?
In high school. My English Teacher told me to pursue writing.
What's the story behind your latest book?
The story of my life. It is a poignant memoir.
What motivated you to become an indie author?
The self publishing process helped me get my work noticed faster than the traditional process. Why get rejected when I don't need to?
What is the greatest joy of writing for you?
Helping others.
What do your fans mean to you?
They mean a lot to me. I want to inspire them.
