Describe your desk

I keep my desk fairly tidy. It's a long white IKEA table with a set of drawers tucked underneath. I have an absurd amount of journals on a shelf below the window. One can NEVER have enough journals...

When did you first start writing?

I've been writing since I was a teenager but didn't self-publish until my thirties. I wrote a lot of stories in my head before realizing that I should, you know, put them on paper if I wanted anyone else to read them.

What motivated you to become an indie author?

The ability to publish whenever I wanted and whatever type of book I wanted to write. I wasn't required to stick to a certain type of romance and if I want to publish seven books in a year, I can. I love everything about being an indie author and wouldn't change a thing.

What is the greatest joy of writing for you?

Just getting all those voices in my head OUT of my head! I love sharing my stories with readers and I'm so thankful that they're enjoying them.

What are you working on next?

I'm working on the third book in my office romance series "Undeniable Series". It's stepping a little out of the box with it being a threesome romance. I'm also working on the seventh book in the Other World Series.

Who are your favorite authors?

I love horror books so Stephen King and Dean Koontz are at the top of my list.

When you're not writing, how do you spend your time?

I do a lot of volunteer work with different animal rescues, I spend time with my super cool husband, and I'm a total yarn nerd so I usually have a knitting or crochet project on the go. It's cold about six months of the year where I live, so curled up on the couch with my knitting, my husband, and my dog is pretty normal for me...

What is your writing process?

I write on my multiple books at once. I usually do my best writing mid-morning to early afternoon. I also edit as I write. I usually write for about four hours a day or more and if I go a few days without writing, I get...weird.

How do you approach cover design?

My cover designer is a rock star who is able to read minds. I've worked with her for years, so I usually send her a vague generalized idea of what I'm looking for and she takes it from there. Mostly, I just leave it up to her and she never disappoints.

What do you read for pleasure?

I read a lot of auto-biographies, horror books, and of course...romance!

What is your e-reading device of choice?

Kindle paperwhite.
