Interview with Regina Frame

When did you first start writing?
I wrote my first novel June 2012. It's not something I had planned. I read two hundred and nineteen novel's between Jan. 2011 and June 2012. I thought I would give it a go and see what happens. I was brave enough to let someone read it, and they loved it! I couldn't believe that I could actually write something that someone else wanted to read. I learned never say never!
What's the story behind your latest book?
I just released my second book in The Beaumont Trilogy. Parker's Past is about a man who grew up with challenges at home, but he overcame and become a self made millionaire. He's a womanizer and loves the playboy lifestyle. He has sworn off of love after his parent's failed marriage. Love hurts and people leave.
What motivated you to become an indie author?
I admire any author who is brave enough to put their work out there for others to read. When I write, I can be anyone I want to be. I can let my imagination run free!
What is the greatest joy of writing for you?
The greatest joy for me is knowing that people actually like what I write.
What do your fans mean to you?
My fans are everything to me. They give me the support I need through good and bad. Without my fans it just wouldn't be worth it!
Who are your favorite authors?
I have so many, but here are a few. Maya Banks, E.L. James, H.M. Ward and Sylvia Banks.
When you're not writing, how do you spend your time?
I love playing with my two year old grandson, and if he's not around, I love to read.
Do you remember the first story you ever wrote?
Absolutely : )
How do you approach cover design?
I think about the storyline first of all and what the characters look like. I can spend days and days looking for just the right photo's.
What do you read for pleasure?
Erotic Romance
What is your e-reading device of choice?
I currently have a Nook HD, but I will go with a kindle the next purchase I make.
What book marketing techniques have been most effective for you?
I'm kind of struggling with that right now. I just hired someone who specializes in promotion.
Describe your desk
That's funny! I use my kitchen table.
What are you working on next?
The final novel in The Beaumont Trilogy, "Family Secrets."
Published 2013-12-01.
