Interview with Remi Banjo

What is the greatest joy of writing for you?
The greatest joy of writing for me is the freedom and opportunity to share what I have learnt through life.
What do your fans mean to you?
My readers are the reason I write. Without them I would simply be writing to the winds.
What are you working on next?
I am working on a few things such as the second installation in the thanksgiving and praise series.

I am also working on a book poetry , short stories and a novel.

Stay tuned for more information.
What inspires you to get out of bed each day?
The fact that I have been blessed with life! It would be an insult to God to waste any second of it.
When you're not writing, how do you spend your time?
Working managing projects and spending time with family. I am a home body.
How do you discover the ebooks you read?
I am registered with various organisations who send me periodic information on new books. I also belong to 3 reading groups which is a great way to get to know about new authors and new books.
What is your writing process?
I use diagrams a lot. When a book idea comes to me, the first thing I do is master mind the plot and then go from there.
How do you approach cover design?
The cover design is usually a representation of how I want my readers to view the book.
What do you read for pleasure?
I read for pleasure, knowledge and inspiration.
What is your e-reading device of choice?
Kindle - 3rd generation. No high tech distractions. Purely for reading!
What book marketing techniques have been most effective for you?
Referrals, word of mouth and the right use of social media.
Describe your desk
Average clean / organised messy
Where did you grow up, and how did this influence your writing?
I grew up in Europe & Africa and yes it has influenced my writings.
What's the story behind your latest book?
The world is a busy place, and at a point I realised I was doing a lot of necessary things for living but I felt my time with the one who made living possible in the first place, was rushed. And so over a season, I set time apart to reclaim that special time with God that is so much needed. Yes we can speak to him as we go about our day, but there is nothing more profound than spending set apart and protected time with God.
What motivated you to become an indie author?
I just wanted to write and tell a story -- now and not having to be hindered by the numerous roadblocks of traditional writing and publishing rules.
