What inspires you to get out of bed each day?
My son and the fact that some day I may not have to go to a day job.
When you're not writing, how do you spend your time?
Watching TV, Reading, drawing, listening to music, watching movies
How do you discover the ebooks you read?
Some through BookBub, through word of mouth, some times through friends, through suggestions at the bottom of the page
Do you remember the first story you ever wrote?
No. Unfortunately I don't
What is your writing process?
Writing process... Not really a writing process per se. I sit down and write what comes to my mind for the story I am working on. Then I will edit and rewrite my stories a couple of times before settling on the final draft.
Do you remember the first story you ever read, and the impact it had on you?
No. But the one I remember that had the most impact early on in my love of books was James and the Giant Peach by Roald Dahl. It was fantastical and brought me into James' world. Dahl influenced me as a kid, although I only read three of his books.
How do you approach cover design?
I decide on what I think it should look like.
Then, I sit down and sketch out the various versions of the cover.
Then, I go and create the final sketch and scan it in to create it digitally.
What are your five favorite books, and why?
Five favorites...

Harry Potter series - Fantastical and grabs you into the wizarding world of Harry Potter
Star Wars - The great Space Opera of our generation
Complete Works of Sherlock Holmes - Love Sherlock Holmes and how he is so intuitive with his work
The Mortal Instruments - Love the world of the Shadowhunters written by Cassandra Clare
The Hunger Games Trilogy - love strong characters with vulnerability, that type of character is hard to write
What motivated you to become an indie author?
I wanted total control over my book.
Did not want to be thrown off my own book series because of creative differences with the publisher, i.e. EL Smith and the Vampire Diaries (her name may be on the books, but they are all ghost written now).
