Interview with James Peters

Published 2017-11-15.
What do you read for pleasure?
Lots of science fiction and fantasy. Lately, a lot of what I'm reading is from up and coming authors in these genres, as I've read most of the classics.
What is your e-reading device of choice?
Kindle is my first choice, and I have the app on my I-phone that automatically syncs all my devices together. It certainly makes waiting for an appointment much more enjoyable.
What book marketing techniques have been most effective for you?
Connecting with readers through social media. I'm always happy to exchange emails/facebook posts with readers, and this seems to get me traction.
Describe your desk
My desk is a heavy wooden desk that I got for free. It was in desperate need of refinishing, so I sanded it down, refinished it and made it my own. It's covered with my computer, two monitors (I like to write on one while using the other to do research, keep a notes file open, distract me with notifications, etc. There are also several small notepads from whatever motel I've stayed in or conference I've been to in varying states of use with scribbles of notes, ideas that came to me at 3am, or people I need to call back.
