My readers. I get a lot of reads on my Wattpad account and knowing that an update could make some reader's day is a wonderful feeling. I love to write. That's why I do it.
When you're not writing, how do you spend your time?
I usually spend my time listening to music and reading. Music inspires me, and I also take short naps because you should never write when you're tired or angry- if I did that, I would probably kill off my characters over a nuclear war.
Do you remember the first story you ever wrote?
Of course. It was a really short story I wrote when I was seven years old. I was inspired by Enid Blyton and it was about a girl named Sally Sulks-A-Lot and a fairy lived in her room, changing her whole attitude. It was very short but at the time, I was really proud by it.
What is your writing process?
Basically I don't control my ideas. In my process, it is completely normal to get ideas to a new story. I don't control what's been given to me, I write it down and most times it creates an epic story. After that process, I expand the ideas and usually, the plot line grows along. When doing this, naturally my mind has to be relaxed and at peace.
Do you remember the first story you ever read, and the impact it had on you?
I can't quite remember the first book I read but I do remember the Enid Blyton books I read when I was a toddler and I literally began writing stories since a toddler. And I still remember how astounded I was as I read Harry Potter, Hunger Games, Percy Jackson, Perks of Being a Wallflower,The Fault in Our Stars and tons others...
What are your five favorite books, and why?
1. PERKS OF BEING A WALLFLOWER- This was the first story that truly spoke to me. I loved this story. The perspective the story offers is mezmerizing. Seriously, haven't read it? Haven't lived. 2. THE FAULT IN OUR STARS- This story is just amazing. I cried reading it and it just tells you an amazing journey if two amazing individuals. 3.TO KILL A MOCKINGBIRD- Amazing classic. Approaches racism in a subtle and amusing fashion. 4.ONE OF THE BOYS- A book written by Knightsrachel on Wattpad. Best chick flick I've read so far. 5.HARRY POTTER SERIES- Don't ask me which one. They're all awesome. :)
What do you read for pleasure?
I am a fanfic addict. One Direction fanfics especially. I have a soft spot for fanfic writers because that's how I started as.
Where did you grow up, and how did this influence your writing?
I grew up in Malaysia and people would rarely pinpoint our spot on the world map so I yearned for writing knowledge and books because I wanted to be like all those other writers.
When did you first start writing?
Seven years old.
What motivated you to become an indie author?
The fact that my parents don't support my passion. They mock me so all I'm doing is proving them wrong.
