I just started here, but I was really interested in the fact that Smashwords allows you to offer your ebooks for free. As a starting artist with a background in fanfiction, I know my audience doesn't look to spend a lot of money on books. I'd really prefer to let people read my books for free and decide that they like my style before opting to purchase a book from me. As an avid reader myself, I know how much money can go into buying books compared to how much high quality fanfiction is available out there for free. I'm hoping to bridge that gap. If I manage to make a little money from my written works, that would be great. If not, it's still a hobby that I enjoy and I love to share with others.
What is the greatest joy of writing for you?
I want to make people feel something. My greatest joy is when someone tells me that they connected with a particular character's experience, or when they have a favorite character or pairing. I love when people fall in love with my characters.
What do your fans mean to you?
Fans are everything. Hearing from a fan is the best thing in the world. Fans are so important to me that I will write even when there's no monetary incentive for me (which has been my entire experience so far). I just love reading and writing, and I love when I can share that with others.
What are you working on next?
I have a lot of running projects, and I tend to switch between them. In my bio I mention that I enjoy science fiction, fantasy, and M/M erotica. I like to play with meshing those genres together.
