My writing process is fairly simple, I just go with what is on my mind, and either stop when stuck or leave a marker and continue on.
What are you working on next?
I am working on book three Return From Kiadoz from my Halcyon Isle series, book one and two are out in various sites. Halcyon Isle "Peace No More" and "Lost Kingdom by S.C. Clarke. I am also working on a couple other books as well.
How do you approach cover design?
My cover design is usually creative and reflects the story I am writing about.
What are your five favorite books, and why?
Wow. This is a tough one, I enjoy fantasy books as well as mystery and romance. I cannot name five
What do you read for pleasure?
I read mostly fantasy and mystery for pleasure. I do enjoy other genres as well.
What is the greatest joy of writing for you?
Writing takes me away from the everyday hum drum and allows me to express myself and take my imagination to places I never knew existed. I want to make sure that my readers are feeling what my characters are going through.
What's the story behind your latest book?
The story behind my latest book "Return From Kiadoz" from my Halcyon Isle series is.....well its too soon for that, you'll have to read the first two books "Peace No More" and "Lost Kingdom" to see how it all got to the third book.
When did you first start writing?
I started writing when I was younger but nothing serious until now.
Where did you grow up, and how did this influence your writing?
I grew up in Pennsylvania, this did not influence my writing, rather it was my vacation to Germany and other parts of Europe where I was wrapped into the beauty and mystery of the Rhine River, Neuschwanstein castle and Lindau
How has Smashwords contributed to your success?
Not sure yet, quite new here but will let you know.
What do your fans mean to you?
I do not have many fans as of now, I do however plan to change that. My fans to me are everything, without them I am nothing.
What book marketing techniques have been most effective for you?
I have been marketing on Facebook, Twitter, and other sites as well. I do not believe it is where one does their book marketing, rather I feel it is the determination of the author to put him/herself out there to reach as many readers as possible.
When you're not writing, how do you spend your time?
When I am not writing, I am spending time with my children, my fiance, and my family or just taking some me time.
What motivated you to become an indie author?
I feel that being an indie author gives me the freedom to believe in myself more. I have sent out numerous query letters, the replies not to my liking. I believe in my writing, my books, and I am not afraid to express that or share them with other authors and readers.
