Describe your desk
Mobile. I create my "writing desk" based upon my mood and select scenery.
Where did you grow up, and how did this influence your writing?
I was born and mostly raised in the Mississippi Delta. My hometown has had a great deal of influence on my writing because the South has produced great writers, the country, rural area allowed me to be creative as child and my hometown is used as settings in my literary works.
When did you first start writing?
Oh, my I first started writing in grade school. The fifth grade to be exact. I was too shy to give my speech assignment and my teacher allowed me to write for extra credit. It was in the fifth grade that I wrote my first "book". It was created on loose leaf paper that had been cut in half and my cover was construction paper. The finished product was about 40 pages.
What's the story behind your latest book?
My latest book, is my first novel entitled Marriage Thorn. It is a combination of personal experiences, real issues that married couples deal with and even in the church. It sets the scene for my series and it does include scenes from my hometown.

A sequel to my current novel.
Who are your favorite authors?
Wow, not enough space. I appreciate the works of so many past and current authors. The author that has had the most influence in my life since childhood is Maya Angelou.
