Interview with Sabine A.Reed

How has Smashwords contributed to your success?
It has been so easy to make my books accessible to a wide audience through Smashwords. Publishing has never been easier.
What is the greatest joy of writing for you?
I love plotting, writing scenes, bringing characters to life and even editing. I love everything about the writing and publishing process, even the tiresome formatting requirements.
What do your fans mean to you?
I am grateful to each and every person who has downloaded one of my books, and left a review. You are all responsible for making my dream come true.
What are you working on next?
I am currently working on the last book in my heroic/epic fantasy trilogy, The Power of Three. After that, who knows, I may write a novella or work on another series.
Who are your favorite authors?
Oh, so many. Terry Brooks, David Eddings, Tolkien, Nora Roberts, Terry Goodkind, Christopher Paolini, Dean Koontz...and maybe a hundred more.
How do you discover the ebooks you read?
Recommendations from friends, goodreads, and top selling charts.
Do you remember the first story you ever wrote?
Of course, I remember. It was a romance novel, and it's still languishing in my laptop's hard drive.
What is your writing process?
I do a chapter outline. Most writers shun it, but I find that a detailed outline makes the writing process more efficient. Of course I make changes when I start the actual writing - and also the characters end up surprising me at times when they do something I wasn't expecting.
Do you remember the first story you ever read, and the impact it had on you?
It's difficult to remember the first story I ever read. Reading has always been such an important part of my life. But Enid Blyton's books changed my life.
How do you approach cover design?
I am hopeless with technology and therefore I hire a cover designer. LFD Designs have made all my covers, and I love their work.
What do you read for pleasure?
I read romance, fantasy, thrillers...pretty much anything except horror and science fiction.
