Interview with Sage Sinclair

What are you working on next?
I have started many stories, but I do believe my next book will have a romantic feel to it.
Who are your favorite authors?
I enjoy Stephan King, V.C. Andrews and my favorite book is written by James Leo Herlihy titled "Season of the Witch."
Do you remember the first story you ever wrote?
Yes, it was a story about my daughter being princess and striving to do her best. Actually it was kind of lame, but she liked it.
What inspires you to get out of bed each day?
Happiness, which consists of being outdoors in the sunshine, writing that next novel and the love of a good man.
How do you approach cover design?
That's a good question. I design my own covers mostly with pictures that I have taken myself. I love being creative in that way.
What is your e-reading device of choice?
I own a kindle fire and it's perfect for me. The only thing that I cannot do on it is write, but I can take notes.
Describe your desk
My desk is a mess. I have sticky notes, scrap paper and sheets of paper everywhere. I have it all organized in my own way. I don't think anyone else would be able to find anything though.
When did you first start writing?
I started writing in junior high. I wrote poems and short stories that I thought would surely become movies someday.
What's the story behind your latest book?
My niece and I would take casual walks around town and sometimes we would visit the cemetery. There were two vaults that we were drawn to, but were never able to figure the story between the two, who were related somehow. I wrote "The Asylum" using their names and used them for inspiration. The relationship between the two is still unresolved.
What is the greatest joy of writing for you?
I would have to say that putting into words what I see in my mind. If anyone actually saw what I see at times that person would probably run away quickly. I love to write and I do not see an ending of any sort.
