Interview with Salima Makana

What type of books do you write?
I'm mostly a teen fiction and mystery person, but I can also write some romance and humor too.
Describe your desk
It consists of a lot of paper, a computer, laptop, OR Ipad. I need a lot of pens and just one pencil. Plus many, many folders and sticky notes.
What are you currently working on?
I'm currently working on getting my 3 novels finished and published. Then I also have one novella series that I would like to go and publish. Then I update my blog like almost every week, depending on the month.
When did you first start writing?
I first started writing when I was in the 3rd grade I had actually made a nonfiction picture book about flamingos. Then in 4th grade I made my first chapter book based off the Geronimo Stilton series and made a second book to that. Later came 5th grade, where I was all about the technology and decided to make my first mystery book about the Iphone. Finally it was 6th grade and I started reading all types of novels and then I just went to the library one day and saw a girl who could've had such a mysterious life. And I made the decision to create my first novel and that's how it all began.
What's the story behind your latest book?
The story behind my latest book, right now. First of all my latest book is My Meeting With Life and Couple or Trouble and they're both based off of t.v. shows and other books. But I think that it's different because of the personality of the characters and how they handle each situation in life.
