Interview with Sandi K. Snow

What do your fans mean to you?
My fans mean everything to me. One of the reasons that I make myself so accessible through social media is because I want to hear the feedback. I want to hear how my fans can relate. I want to hear what inspires them and in turn be inspired by my fans.
What are you working on next?
I am currently working on my third book with Lexi. This one is going to be told by Lexi and it will fill in a lot of the gaps that were left open in A Breakup Story. We will finally get to see what was going on in her life and her mind while away from Zach.
Who is your favorite author?
Hands down...Irving Stone!
What inspires you to get out of bed each day?
Everyday is a new adventure and need to see where it will take me.
When you're not writing, how do you spend your time?
On the beach. Gator watching. Photography. Mentally writing (does that count?)
Do you remember the first story you ever wrote?
Yes. I was about 6 years old and it was about aliens. Aliens came to our school, abducted the principle and we all celebrated with pizza. The book cover was made out of a cereal box covered with contact paper.
What is your writing process?
Let's just say it is a VERY long process that involves locking myself in my office and doing everything except writing.
What do you read for pleasure?
Biographies and a lot of historical books. I'm pretty much a history geek!
Describe your desk
I typically can't see my desk. I think it's black. Depending on my project I will have a laptop, a tablet or two, a notebook, multiple pens, something sweet to munch on, a beverage and my phone.
What is the greatest joy of writing for you?
My greatest joy sounds kind of cheesy, but it is simply being able to entertain. When someone reads my books and they laugh or they cry or they can relate in some way to my story...that is the absolute best feeling for me!
