A confused mess but I know where everything is.

I grew up in the interior of British Columbia with a lot of pine pollen. Being allergic to pine pollen I was forced to stay inside during much of the spring and summer. Books and table top games became my friends.

I first realized that I could tell stories after seeing the movie "Legend" in a Kelowna theatre. That movie was so bad that I realized that I could have told a better story than that. It was a major Rubicon for me.

It allowed me to publish stories for others to enjoy and potentially get paid for them. All for free.

Ice and Pride started as another novella similar in size to the first three. One request I've gotten from my editors and 'practice' readers has been more about the City of Gates so I decided I'd do that and write the story from Lia's perspective as she is more of the 'fixer' of the group; selling off loot and getting jobs for the party (just ask her). It them got away from me as who they were helping and why had to be fleshed out, and Lia also told me in middle of the story that she wanted to come out as a domme so that had to be worked in. Long story short Ice and Pride is going to end up to be a 40,000 word novel (my first to be published)

So now along with the greater understanding of the City of Gates, the story now involved the Team helping a young woman whose a power in her own right to rescue her soulmate from those who wish both harm. Of course much to Lia's professional embarrassment it involves most of the team to be naked for a fair chunk of the adventure.

Working, playing table top or computer games, listening to audiobooks and living life.

Of course all through this time my unconscious is always working a plot lines or character ideas.

I've found the best thing to do is get out of the house. There is a 24 hour McDonalds nearby and I find that's a good place for me to write.

I wanted the image to speak as much for itself as possible, so I kept the lettering simple.

I don't so much as read as listen. I'm dyslexic and actually have a very slow reading speed; but my oral memory and comprehension is very high. So when I discovered audio books a few years ago it has really opened up whole new worlds for me.

For me I get the greatest pleasure from History. I do find the real world is in many ways far more unrealistic than any fiction that I've read. I'm also taking advantage of the audio books to listen to many of the classic of history and literature.
