Interview with Scarlett London

Describe your desk
Messy, full of old papers and notebooks.
What stories are you working on?
Currently, I'm working on five stories. A small, cute one-shot for an anthology submission, two teen fiction stories, one romance story and one short story.
What genres do you write from?
Romance
Teen Fiction
Poetry
Short Story
Fanfiction
LGBT
BoyxBoy
New Adult
ChickLit

And I can attempt to write from other genres too!
What book marketing techniques have been most effective for you?
On Wattpad, I've tried to be as active as possible. Updating my work, engaging with other users, joining in competitions and Twitter has been a great tool for me.
Where did you grow up, and how did this influence your writing?
I grew up in England and where I'm from is attractive, historical and... Books... Lots of books...

Being around lots of books is a bonus. Plenty of reading equals experience in writing in the same genre as another author. Example is Jacqueline Wilson. She is a YA writer and that is where my influence for YA writing comes from.
What's the story behind your latest book?
For my latest work, it was a TV advert.
What do your fans mean to you?
I love my fans. They've read my writing, they have engaged with me and I love seeing them around on Wattpad. They are awesome.
What are you working on next?
Lots more books but that's still a secret ;)
When you're not writing, how do you spend your time?
Listening to music, reading books online and offline, watching football or being with my cats.
What is your longest word count?
Just under 19,000 words. I'm more of a Short Story writer but one day, that might change.
