Interview with Sherrie Sushko

What is your writing process?
Writing fiction for me starts with the spark of an idea that I give some thought to prior to writing. Once I start the process, I find that it’s better to write consistently to keep up with the flow of the story. If I hit a block when writing, I’ll work on some other aspect of the story, like reviewing what I’ve already written. This tends to help me to reconnect to the story and releases the block.
What motivated you to become an indie author?
I decided to become an indie author because I liked the idea of having some flexibility. I think that self-publishing is a great avenue for new authors, but it’s important to have a polished, finished product.
How do you discover the ebooks you read?
There are so many ways to discover ebooks, either by word of mouth or following a favorite author's work. However, I prefer to simply browse online and find an interesting book description that grabs my attention.
What do you read for pleasure?
I usually read for pleasure in the evening when things are winding down and when I can really relax and enjoy what I'm reading.
What inspires you to get out of bed each day?
Living life is inspiring. Each day is a new beginning with endless possibilities.
