I have always loved big, meaty books I can sink my teeth into. I have read extensively and some of the books that have kept me in their thrall include: The Godfather by Mario Puzo, Kane and Abel by Jeffrey Archer, Celebrity by Thomas Thompson... Anyway the list is endless. In my opinion the most underrated writer ever? Irwin Shaw.
When did you first start writing?
At the age of eleven.
What is the greatest joy of writing for you?
It's the opportunity to create a world to your own specifications. In this world you dictate the action and consequences. This never happens in real life so being overlord in your own universe is a great thrill. I have to admit, though, that very rarely does what I envision for this world come to fruition. My characters take over and decide their own destiny.
What are you working on next?
I have an idea for a new book. I'm still fleshing it out in my mind.
