Interview with Sofia Palmer

Describe your desk
I always write in my bed, which I suppose is fitting for an erotica author! As for describing my bed, well, I'll leave that to your imagination. ;)
What is the greatest joy of writing for you?
Writing is a huge creative outlet for me. I've always had an active imagination, and the process of putting ideas down on paper gives me a chance to harness my creative impulses. Finishing a story and having someone tell me it's hot is probably the greatest source of joy I could get from my writing.
When you're not writing, how do you spend your time?
Reading erotica (of course), devising new plot ideas, and walking my four-legged children.
How do you discover the ebooks you read?
Sometimes by word of mouth, but most often I browse listings and see what strikes my fancy.
Do you remember the first story you ever wrote?
Yup. It shall forever remain buried away in an old notebook.
Do you remember the first story you ever read, and the impact it had on you?
I was an early reader, and devoured books when I was a kid. One of the first ones I remember reading was The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe by C.S. Lewis. I still remember trying to convince my sister that we could really get to Narnia through the closet.
What is your writing process?
I get plot ideas all over the place. People-watching or listening to music are big sources of inspiration for me. I jot book ideas in a little notebook (too many ideas to count!) and I just pick what strikes my fancy. Then I write- sometimes bits and pieces, sometimes for a few hours straight. My characters often write themselves. They take on a life of their own, and I really just follow along.
