Interview with Jessica Butler

Where did you grow up, and how did this influence your writing?
I grew up with always listening to music. I was addicted you could say. The artist who inspired me the most was the one and only Justin Drew Bieber.
When did you first start writing?
When I was in fifth grade, I guess I found another passion I have in life.
What's the story behind your latest book?
To start it was a fan fiction of Justin Bieber. He had cardiac arrest while preforming in Stratford, Canada. He fell into a coma and for months he was in it. His girlfriend Ellie, was giving him her heart so he could survive, yet his crew wouldn't let her. 9-10 months later Justin got a heart donor on Christmas. Saving both their lives, and both ending happily.
What is the greatest joy of writing for you?
The people I can relate to. I write from experience mostly and when people can relate, it blows my mind!
What do your fans mean to you?
Honestly, I love the support I get from my fans. It's awesome how much love they can send or say through one comment on a simple website. Especially when my fans are my best friends who support my work and critique it, making it better.
What are you working on next?
I don't know yet. Let's just say since it's near Christmas, it'll be Christmas-y.
Who are your favorite authors?
Stephanie Meyer and the person who writes the Hunger Games.. I forget their name...
What inspires you to get out of bed each day?
Justin Bieber. He truly is an inspiration in my life. He gets so much hate yet he manages to get through it all, therefore being my perfect role-model!
When you're not writing, how do you spend your time?
Either with my friends or singing.
How do you discover the ebooks you read?
My friends or internet surfing. Haha!
Do you remember the first story you ever wrote?
Yes, it was called One Less Lonely Girl.
What is your writing process?
Whatever comes into my head, I write down the ideas, critique it, then start typing.
How do you approach cover design?
I try to relate it with the meaning behind the story which is pretty hard. Google doesn't have the best pictures to edit.
What is your e-reading device of choice?
Wattpad or Quotev. Both amazing websites!
Describe your desk
My desk? Well if I ever wrote down my stories on paper, it'd probably be a mess!
