Interview with Story Monger

Published 2019-05-13.
Do you remember the first story you ever read, and the impact it had on you?
Not really. But I do remember watching Ed, Edd & Eddy for the first time, which made me fall in love with storytelling. Whether it was being a listener or the teller, there's some magic about it all. :)
How do you approach cover design?
My go-to guy is this Serbian graphics student. My whole thing is quite organized from cover to editing. ;)
What are your five favorite books, and why?
I love Game of thrones, Harry Potter and Hunger Games. So that's 3 series of books so more than 5. They are so immersive and captivating. It's lovely to go on a trip using just my imagination and the words of great authors :D
What do you read for pleasure?
The Godfather novel series! Incredible stories.
What is your e-reading device of choice?
Phone. Hands down. Especially in the night when I can't sleep.
What book marketing techniques have been most effective for you?
Right now, just trying to get the right people to read my book by asking them.
Describe your desk
Cluttered sometimes with packages that wrapped up burgers with the bacon in them lol. I once had some girl's number on a piece of paper, all old school like, but it got lost... I'll still talk to her anyway. She sells me beers by our closest mall.
Where did you grow up, and how did this influence your writing?
I grew up in a tough state of mind where abuse and terrible things were the norm. I try to write something that could help those who are in those types of environment escape all that.
Are you happy?
I finally am.. having gotten to write and publish something I'm proud off :)
When did you first start writing?
I started writing at a young age, but really began to test my storytelling with the comics I drew.
What's the story behind your latest book?
The story is right here, being promoted on Facebook by one of many promo partners of mine. https://www.facebook.com/watch/?v=1001669076704254
What motivated you to become an indie author?
Being able to control my story :)
