What is the greatest joy of writing for you?
Getting lost in a world I've created.
What do your fans mean to you?
My fans are my extended family- i write for them.
What are you working on next?
The Sequel to 'White Tiger', titled 'Black Jaguar'. Also, another book, 'Split Second'.
Who are your favorite authors?
Matthew Reilly, Rick Riordan, J.K. Rowling, Dan Brown, Lee Child and Jodi Picoult.
What inspires you to get out of bed each day?
The knowledge that there is so much to do and so much to learn each and every day. Also, that there is a Doctor Who episode waiting for me.
When you're not writing, how do you spend your time?
Sleeping, socialising, playing with my animals, going to work and watching Doctor Who.
How do you discover the ebooks you read?
I usually just search for the popular books and find one that seems like a good read.
How do you approach cover design?
I try to think of covers that make an impact on me- i search for pictures to give me inspiration.
What do you read for pleasure?
I read a lot of Teen Fiction, because i'm a teenager, and it's nice to be able to relate to the books i read.
Describe your desk
I have two desktops so i have my book on one side and a movie on the other so i can take breaks while i write or draw inspiration from what i'm watching. I have some sticky notes next to my keyboard for jotting down ideas (though i can never find a pen). I keep my guitar next to my desk so i can take a break and play some music. I keep my phone next to me so that i immediately get alerts when a reader sends me a message.
Where did you grow up, and how did this influence your writing?
I grew up in lots of homes- my parents were teachers, so we were relocated every couple of years. This influences my writing because I've seen lots of different environments, and I've had to say goodbye to my friends when we moved- this gave me a setting and an understanding of abandonment and loneliness.
When did you first start writing?
When i was 13, i got an idea in my head, and just went with it.
