Interview with Mikhail Feldman

What motivated you to become an indie author?
As many other sharing and publishing teachers, I started offering my educational products on famous Teachers Pay Teachers. Amost immediately my FUNNY PROBLEMS became very popular among my colleagues. For me it was a clear indicator that school children as well as their math mentors got tired of boring textbooks' clones. They need something fresh, vivid, inspiring. I believe that FUNNY PROBLEMS are able to ignite children's interest to such important field as mathematics.
Later I realized that education should not start and finish at school. Parents and grandparents are the first and the most important life-long teachers of their children. So, I decided that my collection of funny problems should be available for Family Circle.
What is the greatest joy of writing for you?
When I create a new problem I imagine a smile on a kid's face reading my text. Nothing is more inspiring than this picture.
What do your fans mean to you?
They are the people that I owe to.
What are you working on next?
Book 6 - for K-1 children.
What inspires you to get out of bed each day?
My first class starts at 7:45 am.
