Interview with Tamara Philip

What is the greatest joy of writing for you?
I love when the plot bunnies hit me and I can just envision the whole thing playing out in front of my eyes. I get so excited that no matter where I am or what I have to write on, I need to get it down some way, somehow. I mean I’ve even written a story on crumpled Bounty towels. It’s exhilarating. Then when I get to start typing it up, the story unfolds in a completely different way than I thought it would and it’s even better. I love it!
Do you remember the first story you ever wrote?
I have the worst memory for this kind of thing but my Mom said I started writing stories when I was 9. My teacher told her I had a knack for creative writing and that stuck with me throughout my life.
When you're not writing, how do you spend your time?
Well, I’m obsessed with recipe books so I’m usually in the kitchen cooking and baking, reading or spending time with my family.
