Interview with Bella Tulip Publishing

What do you read for pleasure?
Well this would depend what mood I'm in but I generally go for some kind of romance.
What is your e-reading device of choice?
My iPhone or laptop. If I ever get an iPad it would be that.
Describe your desk
Ha ha, that would be my lap or coffee table. Not much going on there apart from the laptop really.
When did you first start writing?
I've been writing since I was very young but novel wise since 2012.
What motivated you to become an indie author?
The prospects of traditional publishing didn't look very good to me. Apart from being very hard to get into I prefer to have as much control as I possibly can.
When you're not writing, how do you spend your time?
I'm a stay at home mum so most of my time is spent looking after my child and cleaning :)
What is your writing process?
This is a work in progress. It's something that's evolving all the time. Once thing I always do is plan out as much of the story as I can. I do this by marking out chapters and writing a rough paragraph about what I want to write in that chapter. If I don't have an idea for a chapter I leave it and work on the parts I can and when something comes to me I make a note of it. I try not to get hung up on the parts I have a mental block on. I find working on the parts I can work on frees up my brain and the ideas flow easier for me.
What are you working on next?
I'm currently working on The Monstrum Saga so the next book will be to do with that :)
What inspires you to get out of bed each day?
Many different things do but the main ones are my family. A bit cliche but it's true.
How do you discover the ebooks you read?
I tend to look at what's popular and then what the popular authors have also written.
