Do you remember the first story you ever wrote?
The first story I've ever wrote was a murder mystery, and it was in 5th grade. It was about 10 pages and my teacher let me and my friends perform it in front of the class on a Friday.
What is your writing process?
My writing process consist of mixing true experiences I've gone through with fiction.
Do you remember the first story you ever read, and the impact it had on you?
The first story I've ever read was apart of the Goosebumps series. It was the one about the mummy I believe. It was from that point on that I knew that I wanted to write.
How do you approach cover design?
I approach my cover design based on the content of the book.

They all have exciting, unique story lines about the lives of African American women.
What do you read for pleasure?
I like to read anything with romance or horror.
What is your e-reading device of choice?
I have a huge Samsung phone that I love to read off of. I've downloaded the Kindle app, and like to read off of there.
What book marketing techniques have been most effective for you?
This is my first book, so I'm using my Instagram and Facebook for marketing since I've thousands of friends and followers.
Describe your desk
Lol. I have no desk, I usually write on my laptop on my dining table or on my lap.
Where did you grow up, and how did this influence your writing?
I grew up in a city in Dallas called Oakcliff. It wasn't a nice or good neighborhood. I saw a lot of neighborhood girls and guys go through difficult situations.
When did you first start writing?
I first started writing when I was 10.
What's the story behind your latest book?
The story behind my latest book is actually based off of things that happened in my life. It really affected me, so I decided to write about it.
