Currently Im working on a vampire novel, a fanfic, and a collection of short stories. Most of what I am writing right now is set in a fantasy type of word but im hoping to get back to reality very shortly.
Who are your favorite authors?
Jk Rowling and Stephen King are my top two favorites. Im a huge Dan Brown fan as well.
What inspires you to get out of bed each day?
My husband Tyler. He works his butt off 50+ hours a week, sick or healthy and I need to repay the favor by working just as hard. Hes my life and I need to show him I appreciate him any way I can.
When you're not writing, how do you spend your time?
I like to read, draw and recently took up Pokemon Go
Do you remember the first story you ever wrote?
yes. It was about a little girl who ran away from home because of her evil grandparents. I'm actually in the middle of recreating this story.
What do you read for pleasure?
I'm currently reading the "Vampire Diaries" novels. I'm not totally picky but as long as it's interesting.
What's the story behind your latest book?
My latest book is called Ash to Ash and is about a young woman who is trying to raise her daughter with her husband but a vampire named Ash keeps interfering in their lives and causing all sorts of horror. The story behind it is simply I was young when I started writing it and I still really like the idea behind it. I've always been a huge vampire fan and I miss when they were scary. I like making my vampires scary.
What motivated you to become an author?
The funny thing is I was born dyslexic so whenever I tell people I love to write, they instantly are very confused about this. I've been writing for as long as I can remember and I've always enjoyed telling stories and playing out situations in my head. I just feel I would love to get paid to do this.
What is the greatest joy of writing for you?
Telling my story and having people react to it. When I write something scary, I hope you react scared, or on edge, I love reactions.
When did you first start writing?
I started writing when I was about 6 years old. The stories weren't good but they were fun and I still enjoy doing it.
What is your writing process?
The very first thing I see is usually a character and something horrible happening to them. Then I come up with a fleshed out idea, an outline, and the first chapter. It's always in that order and I do about 30 rewrites.
