Interview with Thabo L. Mathabela

Where did you grow up, and how did this influence your writing?
I grew up in a small township called Tembisa, it's in the center of Johannesburg South Africa. Where I come from you see less inspiration and people living it big, and from where I come from I knew that I had to be the first or be part of the smallest number to make it big, yet at the time I didn't know how I was going to do that because writing was never in my mind.
When did you first start writing?
2012. After inventing an educational organization by the name of Young Mentors Progressive Org, because we had so much to do with going to schools and offer motivational talks I therefore had to do my preperations in terms of speaking and that is how my writing came about and that is when I realized that there was something big in writing and myself and that was my passion hidden in words.
What's the story behind your latest book?
When you are tired of being poor, dreaming and not seeing your dream coming into reality, you can go any miles depending on how much you want success. Just like everyone, I suffered my price and tears had fun in my face but I never felt sorry for myself. I studied from the best, what is it that I had to do to make it and find my rest in my success and abundance, I created my ways beginning with "seven laws to build a dream," and my life started changing bit by bit and better and better I became everyday. I couldn't hide this great recipy to people hungry for success, I had to share with someone, the world and give people a chance to be realize their dreams.
What motivated you to become an indie author?
I hate playing by rules, hahaha... I like writing about anything, like right now I may have a novel coming up soon. So being under any traditional publishers will suffocate me unless they don't lay any rules for me. But I love the freedom that comes with being an indie author.
How has Smashwords contributed to your success?
Wow smashwords is incredible. I like how they treat their authors and support self-publish. My book is available any where in the world and very affordable and thanks to smashwords. I am a Internationally Published Author.
What is the greatest joy of writing for you?
Having the freedom of saying anything without being interrupted by anyone. Growth that comes with writing provided that you commit yourself everyday.
What do your fans mean to you?
They mean my world, they are appreciation, love and support makes me go to bed every night asking myself: how do I change their lives? My fans give me the reason to write, they give me the reason to be humbled, they give me the reason to gun for excellence. Every day I ask did I do enough to make sure that somebody is having a better start?
What are you working on next?
So much is happening: there are businesse ideas that I am working on but I cant reveal just yet, I am still speaking and working on my second book called, "Love84. The art of Love #1st Edition," it will be out not later than June 2017. It's incredible, if you are dating or planning to date or marry it's one book that you need in your pocket, next to bed and in your car.
