What's the story behind your latest book?
The purpose of this book is to pass along essential tools and principles necessary to aid individuals in their quest to achieve success.
What motivated you to become an indie author?
Nothing is more powerful than words, spoken or written. I thoroughly enjoy speaking motivation and knowledge to others, so writing is the next logical phase in spreading this power.
How has Smashwords contributed to your success?
Smashwords will be instrumental in providing the necessary exposure to all who consider themselves my target audience. The larger the number of people who will benefit from my material, the happier I will become.
What is the greatest joy of writing for you?
Knowing that the information I share will help improve the life of at least one person who receives and implements it is the ultimate joy!
What do your fans mean to you?
Without their support and feedback, I have no way of measuring if I am providing value into their lives. Their well-being is of the utmost importance.
What are you working on next?
Writing another book!
Who are your favorite authors?
Les Brown, John C. Maxwell, Napolean Hill, Dale Carnegie, Robert Kiosayki, and a host of others.
What inspires you to get out of bed each day?
My family and others less fortunate than myself because my mission is to impact the lives of many worldwide. I will not stop until my life expires.
When you're not writing, how do you spend your time?
I love running my businesses, networking, reading, dancing, singing, traveling, and spending time with family.
How do you discover the ebooks you read?
I do an internet search on the topic of choice then browse the recommended books in the search results. Some have also been recommended by fellow entrepreneurs that I know.
Do you remember the first story you ever wrote?
Unfortunately no, since it probably was in grade school so so so many years ago!
What is your writing process?
I choose my topic, create an outline with chapter breakdowns, create key points under each chapter, then write!
Do you remember the first story you ever read, and the impact it had on you?
The Biblical story of King Solomon and how he wisely chose between two women who claimed to be the birth mother of a newborn child. Even though I was of pre-school age at the time, I realized the power of stories and how they can emotionally impact the lives of the reader, even motivate them to take action in some cases.
