Interview with Sarah A. Hahn

Where did you grow up, and how did this influence your writing?
I grew up in Uganda. Africa. And because I was raised on a farm in the village where there was no electricity, my parents used to make up stories for us before we slept.
When did you first start writing?
I started writing when I was in School. Just for fun!
What's the story behind your latest book?
A Rich Teenage Serial Killer!
What motivated you to become an indie author?
I missed the stories that my mother used to tell when I was in Africa.
How has Smashwords contributed to your success?
Yes
What is the greatest joy of writing for you?
I see the story come alive! It is like I am watching the characters with my eyes.
What do your fans mean to you?
My Fans mean a lot to me! And they motivate me to do better!
What are you working on next?
I am working on an intense action crime book now.
Who are your favorite authors?
John Grisham, Robert Ludlum and Jeffrey Deaver.
What inspires you to get out of bed each day?
Every day is a different. I get out of bed to see what the World has for me that day, whereby each day has its own surprises. I am excited about tomorrow, but when I wake up tomorrow is gone and there's today!
When you're not writing, how do you spend your time?
Taking walks with my son and then I watch some dramas. I normally write at night, that's when my mind is not wondering around!
How do you discover the ebooks you read?
I read the short descriptions (Book Summaries). Before I get to read a book, I want to know what it is all about before I go into details. And off course I search for the category of the books I would love to read.
Do you remember the first story you ever wrote?
Yes. It was about an orphan.
