Interview with Ink Stained Brain Press
Where did you grow up, and how did this influence your writing?
I grew up in the country. Neighbors were all quite far away, and books were hard to come across. That is what prompted me to begin writing. It also served as a much needed cathartic escape.
When did you first start writing?
At a very young age I began drawing maps and pictures with stories that coincided with them. I believe my first was at 8, but I did not take a try at writing a full story until I was 12. It was awful.
What motivated you to become an indie author?
I want to write for myself. It is an art that I just can't force. If it doesn't come to me and I force it... It's just not right, it doesn't feel like 'me'. I want to be the master of my own words.
What are you working on next?
I have so many novel ideas that I am going to be working on after I finish my longer one. I don't know which one I will choose!
What inspires you to get out of bed each day?
What is your writing process?
I tend to knit words together very slowly. I don't have a "rough draft" stage, which means it takes me forever just to put out one small piece.
