Interview with JERRIMIAH STONECASTLE

When did you first start writing?
When I was eight I wrote my first poem.
What is the greatest joy of writing for you?
The greatest joy is seeing your idea come to fruition in the form of an eBook or paperback.
What motivated you to become an indie author?
I attempted to go the traditional publishing route. Then I realized that most established houses were not willing to invest in unknown writers, literary agents had their own criteria, and I saw other famous writers go the indie route.
When you're not writing, how do you spend your time?
Thinking about writing.
What's the story behind your latest book?
Frankenstina was inspired by the death of people who took their own lives from bullying. I wanted to write a role reversal piece.
How do you approach cover design?
I don't want my cover to say what the book is about. I want the cover to make the reader think "the cover does not match the title, however I have to see how it relates to the title?"
What is your writing process?
Once I come up with an idea for a book I write the outline. This can take as much as a couple of months to do. What I think I do different from other writers is, I outline the last chapter first and then the first chapter. Once I have the outline I can write the novel in a month or less if I work on it every day.
Who are your favorite authors?
Amanda Hocking, J.K. Rowling, Jerrimiah Stonecastle
What inspires you to get out of bed each day?
The current novel I'm working on.
What do your fans mean to you?
They are my inspiration. I want to create better products for them.
Do you remember the first story you ever wrote?
UC 630 Cop or Criminal is a book about the New York City crack wars of the early 1980's and the number 1 undercover operative who fought it.
What book marketing techniques have been most effective for you?
Facebook, Facebook pages, Twitter, Blogging
What are you working on next?
I would like to go into a political projects. Number 45 has given us so much material I can get at least 500 books out of him alone.
Describe your desk
It is a huge L shaped desk that takes up half the room. It has 2 desktop pc's, two monitors, 1 laptop, 1 printers, and a phone and speakers to listen to relaxing music while I write.
