Do you remember the first story you ever read, and the impact it had on you?
As a kid, while going through my fathers books I came across a Punjabi translation of White Nights by Fyodor Dostoyevsky. I don't know if it was the first story i read but i think it is the one i remember the most. The night was captured in words, and i used to read it before going to bed every night.
What inspires you to get out of bed each day?
If the dreams I had while sleeping are beautiful then I get out of bed or else I stay in bed and write my nightmares.
When you're not writing, how do you spend your time?
I meet people. Sometimes I go to the nature walk. Reading books. Learn new things.
which authors do you like to read?
D.H. Lawrence, Shiv Kumar Batalavi, Thomas Hardy, Pablo Neruda, Amrita Pritam, Faiz-Ahmed-Faiz, Ghalib, Agha Shahid Ali, Milan Kundera, George Orwell. I also like to read poetry from Guru Granth Sahib and try understand its meaning.

What's the story behind your latest book?
Writing poems is deeply personal to me, something I share with very few close friends. I had not shared much publicly. I wanted to share them in form of a book. Independent publishing gives a lot of freedom to an author, so I published a compilation of my poetry with smashwords.
