Interview with Vendetta Pax

Published 2014-08-01.
How do you discover the ebooks you read?
We usually browse category by category. It's not a very interesting process, really. It's either that or recommendations.
Do you remember the first story you ever wrote?
Yes, we do! In fact, we're still working on it. The working title is "Insatiable".
What is your writing process?
We just write what comes to us, really. It's easy, and agreeable. Jessie likes planning, while Adeline just goes with whatever.
Do you remember the first story you ever read, and the impact it had on you?
The first story Adeline ever read was The Wind in The Willows, and she just adored it to no end.
Jessie loved reading Old Yeller over and over again, it was her first read.
They inspire us both.
How do you approach cover design?
Whatever our stories are about, we like to have it corresponding with our own interests as well. We love having unique covers that stand out from the rest. Then again, who doesn't?
What are your five favorite books, and why?
Jessie'll answer this one.
Old Yeller, because it was my first read.
Warriors by Erin Hunter, because I am fascinated with the natural world.
The Percy Jackson series by Rick Riordan, I don't really know why.
And the other two are still open.
What do you read for pleasure?
Everything, it depends on our mood.
What is your e-reading device of choice?
Our cellphones. They're always with us and easy to use.
Describe your desk
In a few words; like a tactical nuke.
It's large, messy, and overall just plain weird.
When did you first start writing?
We've been writing for as long as we can remember! Jessie used to get in trouble for writing small snippets in class when she was smaller.
Adeline, well she was always a writer at heart. Her mother is a publisher and her father tried to pursue a writing career.
What's the story behind your latest book?
Well, this is Hold Me Close: Transformers Prime.
Our original character is called Vendetta, and she's just a freak among Cybertronians.
She was captured by deceptions in the war for Cybertron and Shockwave experimented, efficiently giving her a Predicon Mode.
She is an Autobot, so everything's cool.
We'll stop there, cause we don't want to give TOO many spoilers.
