Interview with Veronica L Cox

What inspires you to get out of bed each day?
Well I have a dog so I don't have much choice! But as for inspiration, my imagination is constantly giving me new ideas and fantasies for stories and there are some days that I need to start with my first cup of coffee to capture it and then refine the story and let it grow as I write.
When you're not writing, how do you spend your time?
I'm a very active person -- I write professionally, have a busy social life, donate time to an organization, and paint as a hobby.
Do you remember the first story you ever read, and the impact it had on you?
Where the Wild Things Are and James and the Giant Peach were childhood favorites that got me to try writing on my own. I found a real love of reading and could always be found with books next to my bed and packed away for vacations -- my kindle certainly makes that easier.
What are your five favorite books, and why?
Some of my favorite books over the years include Kite Runner, Pillars of the Earth and World Without End, The Mists of Avalon, and the Twilight series
