My desk is neatly organized. I like to use a desk lamp. I use post-it notes and I have an organizer, printer and stereo speakers also on my desk. A large area of it is cleared. I protect the surface of the desk and you'll usually find a letter opener, a stapler, a pen, a keyboard duster, a pen and a ruler on my desk. I use a large screen monitor.

I began writing at the age of 7.

My latest book, "Love, Life and Me" happens to be my first book. Long overdue, this book will capture some of my earliest writings, which -ironically- I found enjoyable to read myself.

My son, Alex, who has grown up to become quite a wonderful young man has constantly encouraged me in one way or another to do things I've placed on the back burner. I thank him for pushing me forward.

I would definitely think so. Smashwords' creator is an awesome person with a wonderful vision. I could listen to him and watch his presentations over and over. There is a genuine passion for books, reading, authors and creativity that I can tell in his personality and for him to create an avenue for others who share his passion to share their creative ability is awesome!

I don't write all the time. I don't even plan to write. However, there are times when I begin writing and it just flows like water and I am unable to stop until it all flows out. There has been instances when I would re-read some of my own work and get the feeling that I was only the conduit used to pen the thoughts and ideas and I would be very impressed with it. A psychology professor once told me to write a book and I would have never thought I would have done so. But in honor of my children and my late editor, Harvey Burwell, I feel I owe it to those who have been supportive of me to immortalize the words I've penned and to share its beauty with the world.

I couldn't adequately put in words how much those who've supported me over the years mean to me. I goal is to be at a level of success that one day I can really tangibly show how much I've been humbled by their support and show my real appreciation for my fans.

Music! I love to sing. It would be wonderful to become a songwriter.

I remember the first poem I wrote. Yes, very well. It was entitled, "Having a Party."

I usually have the concept of what I am going to write thought out (sometimes for a few days) until I finally decide I can no longer hold it in, I MUST GET IT OUT!

Professionally. I wanted something to reflect the content that I was sharing, but I wanted more than just my idea and input into the cover. I also wanted my personality to be included, as I have a certain way I like things to be. I wanted it to be attractive, professional, tasteful and relevant and I feel that's what I have in my first book.
