What is your e-reading device of choice?
I prefer to read books.
What book marketing techniques have been most effective for you?
Social media targeted at my intended audience.
Describe your desk
From clean and organized to cluttered and a mess, over and over again, like waves.
Where did you grow up, and how did this influence your writing?
I am from a small town un Upstate, NY and it influenced my writing by making me want to leave and see the world.
When did you first start writing?
In the year 1998 I began writing screenplays. I sold my first screenplay in the year 2000.
What's the story behind your latest book?
The Puddle Club is a story of a young girl who falls into a puddle and is transported to a mystical golf course where she must play the game of golf to find herself and her way home.
What motivated you to become an indie author?
The freedom to work at my own pace and to have total control over the creative process. Having working in Hollywood I know all too well how easy it is to be led astray with bad ideas that don't belong but are forced upon you by those writing the checks.
What is the greatest joy of writing for you?
When the magic trick works and another human being who reads your work is entertained, uplifted, and shares in an imaginative moment that came from your brain and is transported across all time and space.
What do your fans mean to you?
I don't have any fans but when I do get some they will mean a lot to me.
What are you working on next?
More sports themed books for young readers.
Who are your favorite authors?
C.S. Lewis, Philip K. Dick, G.K. Chesterton, Tim O'Brien, Tim Sandlin, Budd Schulberg, LEM, Tom Perotta - to name a few...
