Interview with Yogi Sally Ann Slight

Describe your desk
A beautiful Yew wood desk, that has been left as if it has just come from the forest, but smoothed away the rough edges, with sturdy legs.
Where did you grow up, and how did this influence your writing?
I was born in Chingford, Essex and brought as a baby to The Lizard, Cornwall, England's most Southerly point. I had freedom to roam the cliffs and fields, coming home when i was hungry. School was tough as we were outsiders, and I was bullied yet i got through it, it made me tougher, but i didn't like being tougher, so i was happy when we moved to Devon, but still remained an outsider! ...and now i love being an outsider ...and understand, that I am!
When did you first start writing?
2011, after an affair with a Paratrooper....I couldn't sleep, and was awake most nights writing loads of poetry about Love and remaining positive in all adversity.....then that led to keeping positive for Health and then that lead to learning about the greatest Healer ...Jesus....and so most of my writing now is about His Love and His Healing.
What's the story behind your latest book?
HEALTH....on Earth as it is in Heaven.......I have been reading more of the words of Jesus and Scripture from the Bible and upon meditating on these words I get more insights into their meaning...well what they mean to me...we all meditate and read into the Bible from our own understanding, but as i have also been taught of Yoga Philosophy, I am finding so many principles match each other and that it all comes down to LOVE and being positive and LOVE....for great Health and happiness....the passage from the Scripture that influenced this book was Matthew 16:19....''I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven; whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.” I have written on how to loose yourself to gain your Health and happiness.....well, it works for me!
What motivated you to become an indie author?
LOVE....and not being able to tell the Paratrooper how I felt...I wrote it all down.....and it felt better that way...and i am so glad that i did ;-)
What is the greatest joy of writing for you?
when I get in the zone and allow whatever wants to come through my fingers onto the keyboard to be read....sometimes i type so fast that when i read it back, I think, ''Blimey!, did i write that!!!...How do i know all this stuff!''....and then sort out the punctuation as the commas and full stops tend to slow the flow of whatever needs to come out...and sometimes there is no you just go on facebook and reply to a few suggestions that have been made, and there you are, writing again!!
What do your fans mean to you?
without them, I am nothing but some words on a computer screen....they make me feel wanted, needed, loved, and I am very grateful to anyone who purchases any of my work....I get so excited when i have sold something and i just want to thank them personally for wanting to know me!...honored!
What are you working on next?
'Jesus was a Yogi'.....I have a Bible with red words in it, that are the words spoken by Jesus....this was a great line Mark 7:34
He looked up to heaven and with a deep sigh said to him, “Ephphatha!” (which means “Be opened!”)......but if you look at the word itself Ephp'HATHA'....Hatha is a form of Yoga and upon all training in Yoga you must be opened to release the joints....and open minded to understand more of the teaching of the great Masters...of who we are so thankful.....I have more info on this proof to bring to the world.
Who are your favorite authors?
Byron Katie (Loving What Is), Rhonda Byrne (The Secret), Geshe Michael Roache & Christie McNally (The Essential Yoga Sutra),
