What is the greatest joy of writing for you?
Knowing that the information I provide brings clarity to people that allows them to find power to improve some aspect of their life.
What do your fans mean to you?
They are my mission in life.They are the people for whom my skills and talents are a gift.
What are you working on next?
I am writing a book the provides a new perspective on life's oldest power - love. When done, readers will understand and appreciate why love is the most powerful life skill in the universe, that it is the "Windows" of Life.
Who are your favorite authors?
I love to read Malcolm Gladwell, Eckhart Tolle, Myles Munroe and the like. These authors extract deep principles of life out of practical observations of the happenings in our world.
What inspires you to get out of bed each day?
The need to lead my most important project, which is the care and development of my family and my deep desire to fulfill what God-given heroic purpose on this planet. I believe that each of us awaits the day when we can swoop in and the save the day, not necessarily for the people's of the world but for the people's of our little world.
When you're not writing, how do you spend your time?
Spending time with my family, watching You Tube, reading non-fictional books, and watching TV.
How do you discover the ebooks you read?
Primarily through online searches by topics.
Do you remember the first story you ever wrote?
Yes, it was a story written for my 10th grade English class and was about fantastical world visited by a little boy. Totally fiction though in time I would come not to be a reader of fiction at all.
What is your writing process?
I believe in thought and flow. Thoughts that seem to haunt me with their deep meaning and practical purpose almost demand that I write them for the benefit of myself and others. I then write with a certain effortless flow until I feel resistance. I then quit until the thought bids me again.
How do you approach cover design?
I entrust them to those who specialize in same and approve what they send when I believe it suits the point.
What are your five favorite books, and why?
I love non-fiction based on philosophy, spirituality and self-improvement.
What do you read for pleasure?
Not much, I enjoy reading books that teach me.
What is your e-reading device of choice?
Kindle
What book marketing techniques have been most effective for you?
I am a novice. Testing a number now.
Describe your desk
Messy during work hours and always tidied up at end of the day. I believe in a clean desk policy at the end of the day.
Where did you grow up, and how did this influence your writing?
In The Bahamas and it did, because on small islands your interaction with people is intense and so is your ability to observe the best and worse in them.
When did you first start writing?
In my mid-twenties
What's the story behind your latest book?
That every human being seems to have a deep desire to better their lives and in the context of the present period in which we live, this desire has intensified. I felt this urging in myself with significant intensity and drew on all the things that I learned to help me pursue the same. It occurred to me at a very down moment in my life how useful these bits of wisdom were over the years and then at that disappointing hour.
What motivated you to become an indie author?
A desire to reach ever wider audiences with the info I believe I can offer.
How has Smashwords contributed to your success?
It ease of set up and wide outreach just seemed to be the tool I was looking for to achieve my goal.
What's your life mission?
To live out and promote the power and purpose of love, leadership and liberty.
